Change the Status of a Portal

Merchants who wish to take their BillPay Portals offline or activate their Portals can request a status change by calling Forte Support. Unlike suspensions, status changes do not require messaging or date/time definitions. Once an Active Portal is put into Inactive status, a 404 error message displays.

Suspend a BillPay Portal

NOTE: Only Forte Enrollment and Implementation Team members will have the appropriate permissions to suspend a merchant location's BillPay Portal.

Merchants can temporarily suspend their BillPay Portals for year-end reconciliation or maintenance purposes. Merchants can schedule these suspensions for a specific window of time and display a message at the top of their BillPay Portals explaining the suspension. When a BillPay Portal is suspended, customers cannot search or submit payments for bills.

Dex enables corporate and permissioned merchant (Merchant Admin and Merchant Developer roles) read-only access to billing data that may be pertinent for troubleshooting an issue. The Bill Search Datagrid provides an expandable list of a location's billing data such as customer name and ID, Unique Billing ID, Bill Number, Due Date, Amount Due, and even merchant-defined fields passed in XDATA parameters.

To search for a specific bill, complete the following steps:

  1. Navigate to the Bill Search Datagrid by clicking BillPay > Bill Search in the Dex main menu.

Export Bill Data

Dex enables corporate and permissioned merchant users to search for, display, and export bill items that have been processed and uploaded to the Forte bill table. This data can be helpful when troubleshooting billing issues with merchants. The Bill Search Datagrid provides you with an expandable list of a location's billing data which you can then export to a local .csv file that can be uploaded into other applications.

View AutoPay Subscriptions

Dex gives corporate and other permissioned merchant users (Merchant Admin and Merchant Developer roles) the ability to look up all of a location's AutoPay subscriptions for troubleshooting and reporting purposes and to delete individual AutoPay subscriptions. It provides information about the customer and payment method, as well as details about the date and maximum payment limit for an AutoPay subscription.

You can sort AutoPay records in ascending/descending order by Created Date, export Autopay records, and refresh the data by clicking the  button. You also can customize the number of items that display using the display dropdown in the bottom left corner.

To access the AutoPay Datagrid, complete the following steps:
